Plan Forward

Daily Task Planner — Android

Plan your day in the morning.
Review your progress in the evening.
Actually move forward.

Most task managers are great at capturing tasks. Plan Forward is built around what comes next: the daily ritual of committing to your list and honestly reviewing what happened. It's the loop that separates people who plan from people who actually finish things.

Plan & review
The core loop, not just capture
Smart recurrence
One thread per task, always
Bulk shift
Reschedule everything in one tap
Effort tracking
Estimate · timer · weekly bias
The plan-and-review loop

Two short rituals that change everything.

Capture is easy. Completion is hard. The gap between "added to the list" and "actually done" is where most task managers fail — and where Plan Forward is designed to live.

  • Recurring task adherence
  • Time-bias aggregated report
  • Stale task clean-up
What's inside

Opinionated features, built around the loop.

Morning & evening review

A morning nudge to pick your Most Important Task and triage the inbox. An evening prompt to mark progress and spot patterns. Weekly summaries show completion rates by category.

Natural language input

Type "email Sara tomorrow 4pm #work !high" and Plan Forward extracts the date, time, tag and priority automatically. 18+ date patterns understood out of the box.

Occurrence-based recurrence

Recurring tasks stay as one thread — not a pile of duplicates. Four rule types: fixed interval, weekday, after-completion and monthly. Streak tracking per task, not per occurrence.

Bulk shift (life happens)

One tap reschedules today's tasks, or everything in the week. Shift by +3h, end of day, tomorrow, or +2 days. Parent shift pulls anchored subtasks along. 10-second undo.

Effort tracking & bias

Estimate how long a task takes, start the built-in timer, and let Plan Forward show you where you consistently underestimate. The weekly bias report names the categories.

Multi-level subtasks

Nest tasks up to four levels deep. Mark a parent done and all children cascade. Move a parent and every anchored subtask moves with it — the plan stays coherent.
